Hey look! The same site two years in a row!

Thank you all who attended our 3rd installment. There were a few rough patches, but we got through them and we'll be stronger for them. In fact...

Get ready for Chupacabracon 4! That's right, Chango is back to wreak havoc in Round Rock once again. We'll be holding the event at the Windham Hotel and Conference Center right off the 35 freeway. So that means easier access. The Windham is a hotel so you'll be able to stay on-site all weekend if you choose to (or are from out of town). One of our key requirements this year was an on-site lounge, somewhere our guests and attendees could grab a drink and hang out during and after the event. Done. The venue also has a lounge and lobby area for casual get-togethers outside the convention proper. Now this was one of those aforementioned rough patches. But we've talked to the venue and got all of that straitened out.

Once again, this year's conference is already shaping up to be an amazing one. We've already got a great list of guests attending this year. Many of the authors and creators from last year are returning this year and bringing some friends with them. We are truely honored that so many authors and game creators have made Chupacabracon a regular event. If you're keen on meeting some of the people who created your favorite games, check out our guest list. You may be surprised at who's going to be here.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is to register early and come back often. We have made the conscious decision to keep our convention under a thousand people. We want to keep the small convention feel and the best way to do that is to stay small. This is being done to make sure our guests have as much fun as the rest of the attendees. At larger events the organizers have their special guests running all over the place with panels and the like. They don't get to have the interaction with you, the players, as they want. Well, we're not going to stand for that here, in Austin (greater metropolitan area).

Also, if you're looking to run a game, we are doing things a little different to encourage people to sign up and help us build up the list of games earlier. This year we are going to start charging for GMs who sign up late. Don't worry, it's a small fee, but if you want to get in free with your GM badge, you're going to have to do it early. Also, we are requiring GMs to provide some information about their games when they register. In that way we will be sure to have a roster of games sooner than two weeks before the event. More to come on this.

So, click on over to the registration tab and sign up. This is going to be a lot of fun and you really should be part of it.
